As you may have noticed I have been experimenting with a few different blogging technologies in an attempt to figure out how someone who is not an essayist participates in the blog space. I have found several blog alternatives that enable someone with the concentration of a gnat to participate in the blogsphere in some new ways.

Here is a rundown of the services I have found and started using.

TumblrI found another blogging idea for people who don’t like to type called tumblr. Tumblr lets you quickly post anything that you find on the web into a running log. This log is not quite a blog as it does not have any comments. The only function of a Tumble log is to say, “guess what I just saw”. To make a simple analogy: If blogs are journals, tumblelogs are scrapbooks. Mine is here

JaikuI also found twitter as I have mentioned before. It has been automatically littering my blog space for some time now with my random thoughts as I have them. I am cleaning up around here and will be removing all of the twitter posts. But do not fear stockers, through a comment someone left on my blog I ran into a somewhat of improved twitter called Jaiku. In addition to capturing my random thoughts that I send to Jaiku by computer or cell phone it also combines many of my web activities into a continuous running log (including Twitter). You may see my Jaiku log by clicking on the button on the side bar to see what I have been up to.

I know this may sound like way to much blog differentiation for some by I think that it will help me keep keep my blog space looking like a garbage dump if I separate things out a bit.
